1. Examine vehicle, assesses work and perform additional diagnosis if necessary. Undertake difficult repair work. re-build and re-install assemblies after ensuring correct functioning
2. Receive job card with basic instructions of work requested from Team Leader.
3. Examine vehicle, tears down failed assemblies in order to determine location, extent the nature of defective area and informs Team Leader of an additional diagnosis to be added in the job card
4. Plan necessary work and determines new parts or machining operations needs and initiates it through Team Leader.
5. Undertake difficult repair work on a variety of mechanisms (engine, transmissions, suspensions).
6. Re-build major assemblies making a variety of precision measurements (piston clearance) and adjustments (bearing pre-load) in the process.
7. Re-install assemblies in vehicles and conducts initial operating inspection.
8. Report actual time work of each job card through “The Service Management System”.
9. Use all hand tools and gauges, portable and stationery equipment, lift etc. maintains cleanliness of tools, equipment and work area.
10. Use all safety and health materials & tools.
11. Adhere to TMC policies and procedures.
